Fabián Sigot

Fabián Sigot is an artist who has incorporated multiple tools into his career to stand out both onstage and on social media, where he has become a star. The actor, comedian and lyrical singer has, as of today, 546,000 followers on Instagram, 419,000 on TikTok, a fan base of 86,000 on Facebook, and is produced by Gabriel García of “García Producciones.”

Currently, Sigot performs his one-man show titled “Rápido y gracioso,” where he blends iconic characters he created over the years along with new additions. This 75-minute performance replaces his previous show “Una noche con mis chicas,” which ran for about two years.

“La Caro” and “Inés” are part of the characters created by Sigot, who portrays different women with distinct costumes for each persona. His social media feeds are filled with videos in this style. One of these female characters is even used to promote his performances abroad.

La Caro, Sigot’s most iconic character

With a wig made of burgundy-colored hair—short on one side, long on the other—and a pink hair tie at the end, “La Caro” presents herself as a humble woman. She wears a blue Adidas jacket, bright red lipstick and a distinctive fringe.

This character is one of the most requested by Sigot’s fans. The numbers prove it: every video featuring La Caro surpasses two million views on the actor’s social media accounts. La Caro reenacts everyday situations, from Easter celebrations to motherhood roles or new beauty treatments.

Some of La Caro’s most popular videos show her talking about getting her eyelashes or lips done. Sigot performs the character from a humorous angle, using playful word choices and highlighting the cosmetic procedures. In the lip-filler video, he reenacts the beauty treatment and explains how the process went.

On a personal note, the actor and comedian expressed gratitude for the audience’s response: “Laughing is distraction; it’s a shift in mood,” Sigot said. He added that many people comment that his videos “change their day” and help them through difficult nights.

The audience’s connection with his characters

Fans of Fabián Sigot know that beyond his one-man show, there is a strong emotional link to characters like La Caro or Inés. In an interview, he said that “every time a character walks onstage, it’s a celebration.” The demand seen on social media is also reflected in his live shows.

As with many stand-up comedians, audience interaction is often essential for the flow of the performance, and Sigot is no exception. He explained that every show is different because the audience “guides him in new directions.” Each one-man performance has its own style and structure, but always respects the monologues, scripts and moments designed for audience participation.

Some characters become more beloved than others. Sigot noted that sometimes “a character is not liked at first and ends up being the most loved.” He added that many of the “meaner characters end up being the favorites.” There is a kind of identification between the audience and the different characters. Some of them are unfiltered, “and many people identify with that,” he said.

How did his career begin?

In 2013, Fabián Sigot trained as a lyrical singer at the Alberto Ginastera Musical Conservatory. Three years later, he began a seminar at the Teatro Cervantes, and in 2020 he completed the Dramatic Arts program at the School of Art and Communication.

Gabriel García, the producer behind his shows, is a director with a long career, a 2012 “Estrella de Mar” award and several other distinctions throughout his professional life.

Through his many characters, Fabián Sigot has built a strong and dynamic relationship with his audience. With “La Caro,” the most popular of them all, he has captivated viewers who identify with her personality or remarks. Sigot’s characters generate excitement among fans, and that response is reflected on stage night after night.
